History

New Pathways for Youth, a 501c3 organization since 1989, has positively impacted the lives of more than 5,500 at-risk youth, with dramatic and demonstrable success. In its first year, New Pathways for Youth provided mentoring services to 40 youth from the Greater Phoenix area. Today, there are over 500 youth served annually.

Throughout its history, New Pathways for Youth has developed programming that transforms the lives of at-risk youth through the power of mentoring. A 1995 grant from United Parcel Service provided the headquarters at 10th and Pierce streets in the Garfield neighborhood of downtown Phoenix. Having grown by acquisition of mentoring programs over the years, the organization was renamed from Greater Phoenix Youth At Risk to New Pathways for Youth in 2012.
